Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Desolated Bliss ("we," "us," or "our") is a spatial thinking application for Apple Vision Pro built on visionOS 26. The app lets users create and arrange thought-spheres, connect them with glowing links, and explore their ideas in mixed reality.

Privacy is not a feature of Desolated Bliss — it is the architecture. The app is designed so that no personal data ever needs to leave your device.

2. Data Collection

Desolated Bliss collects no personal information. Specifically:

• No account required. You do not register, log in, or provide any identifying information to use the app.
• No analytics. We do not track how you use the app, which features you engage with, or how often you open it.
• No crash reporting transmitted. Any diagnostic information generated by a crash stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to share it with Apple through visionOS's standard crash reporting mechanism.
• Voice input. Voice labels are processed entirely on-device using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Your spoken words are never transmitted to our servers.
• Photo attachments. Images you pin to spheres are stored locally in the app's private container. They are never uploaded or shared.

3. Use of Data

Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to use. All processing — scene rendering, voice recognition, spatial anchoring, pattern layout — happens locally on your device using visionOS frameworks.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any secondary purpose. There is no secondary purpose.

4. Data Storage

All scene data, sphere labels, link configurations, photo attachments, and spatial anchor positions are stored in the app's local private storage container on your Apple Vision Pro. This data is subject to the device's standard encryption managed by visionOS.

The optional bulk import/export feature (available as a one-time in-app purchase) allows you to move scene files between devices yourself. This transfer is entirely under your control — we are not involved in or aware of it.

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed from your device.

5. Third-Party Services

Desolated Bliss uses the following Apple platform frameworks, which are governed by Apple's own privacy practices:

• ARKit / RealityKit: For spatial anchoring and mixed reality rendering on visionOS.
• Speech framework: For on-device voice label recognition. No audio is transmitted externally.
• PhotosUI: For browsing and selecting photos to attach to spheres. We do not access your photo library without an explicit selection action.
• StoreKit: For processing the optional one-time in-app purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple.

We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection SDKs.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share any user data with third parties because we do not possess any user data to share. The only data that leaves your device is payment information processed by Apple when you make an in-app purchase, which is governed entirely by Apple's privacy policy.

7. User Rights

Because all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times:

• Access: All your data is in the app on your device — open it anytime.
• Deletion: Delete individual scenes within the app, or delete the app entirely to remove all data permanently.
• Export: Use the optional bulk export feature to save your scenes as files you control.

There is no account to close and no server-side data to request deletion of. Your rights are exercised directly on your device.

8. Children's Privacy

Desolated Bliss does not collect any personal information from any users, including children. The app does not direct marketing at children and requires no account creation. It is subject to Apple's standard App Store age-rating system.

9. Updates to Privacy Policy

If we ever update this Privacy Policy — for example, if we add optional features that handle data differently — we will update the "Last Updated" date above and note the changes in the app's release notes. Our commitment to on-device privacy will not change without explicit notification and your consent.
